Windows 7 Updates Detect Counterfeit Software Copies

For those that are not sure if your copy of Windows 7 is legitimate or where you got it from, you might want to stay away from this Windows 7 update.

Microsoft decided to release a new update known as Windows Activation Technologies (WAT) which detects validation errors and activation exploits made to windows 7 system files.

According to Microsoft this is to protect users by notifying them if the copy of Windows 7 are legitimate or they’ve been prey upon into buying a counterfeit software.

If you wish to bypass this update, turn off the windows automatic update in your Windows 7 as soon as possible. Also make sure that you manually select only those updates that you need.
