Eset Latest Virus Definition Crashes My Computer.

Eset support just announced the latest release of it’s virus signature database update 5418 could cause a number of issues after updating on the computer.

If you are experiencing some kind of weird problems with your computer after updating to the latest eset virus definition, restart your computer and this should help.

It is reported that the latest definition cause a “ekrn.exe” error

Problem such as “access violation”, outlook not responding, etc.. Other reported issues include ekrn crashing, systems not responding and threat notifications with blank name fields

If the problem persist after restarting your computer, you’ll need to uninstall and reinstall the Eset application on your computer.
